Located in Laysen Valley, this executive workplace for a leading investment bank combines an elegant spatial layout with a beautifully finessed lighting scheme that strikes the right balance between hospitality warmth, productivity and employee wellbeing.
Our lighting design approach was to layer architectural lighting with the decorative elements to create an engaging environment, where the lighting is effortlessly at one with the sleek, pared-back design aesthetic.
Adjustable downlights were embedded in the bold architectural lines of the ceiling in the reception, delivering uniform brightness across the minimalist space. Spike lights emit a soft glow amongst the planted greenery, accentuating the biophilic elements.
In the open plan offices and breakout zones, a combination of integrated downlights, decorative pendants, and cove lighting delivers task-orientated yet cosy illumination. The balance between direct and ambient light contributes to a comfortable working environment.
The meeting rooms feature a mix of linear profiles, downlights, and wall lights, optimised for video conferencing, presentations, or informal one-to-ones. In the conference room, the lighting is seamlessly integrated with audiovisual systems to produce a collaborative and focused atmosphere.
Employee comfort was a core priority. Intuitive control systems allow occupants to adjust the lighting with ease, using pre-programmed lighting scenes to set the tone and functionality of their surroundings.
The intelligent lighting system adjusts according to occupancy and daylight levels, reducing energy consumption without diminishing the quality of lighting throughout the workplace.
