Maruska studied for a bachelor’s degree in architecture at the University of Ain Shams before working as an architectural engineer in Egypt, contributing to projects such as the Grand Egyptian Museum. She transitioned into lighting design while in Cairo, immersing herself in all aspects of the role, from creative concept development through to rendering and modelling.

Now based in Dubai, she brings an analytical, detail-oriented approach, balancing creativity with technical expertise to help the team design lighting schemes that are visually impactful, functional, and beautifully engineered.
