Jumeirah T3 Arrivals Lounge
DUBAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The architectural lighting scheme that we designed for the Jumeirah T3 Arrivals Lounge uses layers of light to bring warmth and character to the elegant interior scheme by Bishop Design.

Design Concept

Central to the lighting solution is creating an atmosphere of quality and elegance, complementing the luxurious residential-style interior. Our design philosophy focuses on creating points of interest and accentuating beautiful finishes, bespoke furniture and artwork.

Key Lighting Solutions

Trio of stunning ceiling coves

Reception area – a two-tiered circular cove above the reception desk is framed by lines of light set against corresponding gold bands, creating a welcoming glow.

Main lounge – a beautiful Oggetti chandelier forms the centrepiece of a second circular cove, adding to the opulence and drawing the eye.

VIP area – a two-tier linear cove creates a dramatic feature of diffuse lighting that highlights the proportions of the private space.

Accentuating features

Downlights highlight artwork, upholstered and stone walls, and refreshments on a marble counter while boosting light levels. A gentle wash of light underneath the counter and integrated shelf lighting accentuating objects on display add visual interest.

Accentuating features

Lighting details within shelving units and select decorative fixtures provide a layer of accent lighting, enhancing the luxurious, atmospheric dining space. Cove lighting accentuates architectural lines in the ceiling while delivering soft, ambient illumination.

Sophisticated bathroom lighting

A floor-to-ceiling mirror with backlit sandblasted edges creates a striking feature and flattering glow, supplemented by recessed downlights and diffuse cove lighting.

Adaptive lighting control

The DALI control system offers a selection of scenes to suit the time of day or guest comfort, transitioning from bright and vibrant during the day to cosy at night.
