Located in The Westin City Centre, Salero Bahrain is a vibrant Spanish restaurant offering classic dishes from an open kitchen and live entertainment. We delivered a lighting solution that blends functionality with atmospheric charm, enhancing the spirited yet relaxed dining experience.
In response to the design journey developed by LXA, our lighting concept is built around reinforcing the Salero brand and highlighting the vibrant surroundings, while offering flexibility for day-to-evening dining.
Large illuminated rattan baskets hover above the restaurant, creating a striking feature. Linear lighting carefully concealed within each basket’s internal edge achieves a subtle floating effect and a wash of ambient lighting.
Sleek track lights with High Colour Rendering (CRI) suspended between the baskets bring out the rich colours of the Spanish dishes and interiors. Narrow beam angles provide direct table lighting while minimising light spill and glare.
Concealed linear wall grazers wash colourful and textured walls with illumination, enhancing their visual impact. Integrated lighting in bottle displays draws the eye of diners through the space while adding a subtle glow.
A DALI control system allows staff to adjust lighting levels and create tailored scenes, depending on the desired atmosphere or time of day.
