This vibrant workplace draws inspiration from the UAE’s rich and varied landscapes. Creatively brought to life by Roar, the concept reimagines the modern workplace as an inspiring, multilayered environment. Color-coded zones representing mangroves, the sea, coral, wadis, and dunes add nuance and vibrancy to the experience.

Design Concept

Light plays a vital role in the colour-driven narrative, highlighting the materiality and playfulness of each zone while managing the flow between the different areas. Our lighting helps to set the tone and dictate the mood – creating a sense of warmth in the communal spaces, calm focus in the work zones and injecting energy and movement into the circulation areas.

Key Lighting Solutions

Material richness

In the green zone, integrated lines of light reveal the organic textures of the materials. Concealed cove illumination and wall grazers create a subtle ambient glow while minimising reflections on the mirrored ceiling.

Energising lines of light

Past the reception, the meeting rooms, work areas and phone booths are defined by graphic injections of light. These dynamic lines of light extend into the circulation spaces, smoothing the connections between the different zones.

A harmony of light and sound

The lighting aesthetic shifts in the blue zone to soften the mood. Rectilinear light fittings were integrated within the wave-like acoustic ceiling to produce a sense of calm in the focused work areas.

Wow factor decorative lighting

Defined by a graduated mirrored ceiling and soft pink hues, the café features discreet spotlights and indirect lines of light that amplify the illusion of depth while allowing the bespoke lighting feature to take centre stage.

Accentuating the features of the architecture

A layered lighting scheme elevates the townhall, where cove illumination and illuminated step details elevate the visual aesthetic by emphasising the sculptural form of a bronze-and-glass staircase.
