Studio N teamed up with Bishop Design to bring their imaginative Visionary Vortex concept to life for the Design Talks programme at INDEX Saudi Arabia.

An interactive space inspired by Future Dusk, the Color of the Year for 2025, the scheme featured seamlessly integrated lighting solutions from LEDFlex, set against a dynamic backdrop of bold colourways and intricate textures.

RGBW pixel-controlled lighting was used to animate the entranceway portal and transition visitors away from main exhibition space. Light was seamlessly embedded along the metallic rings lining the arched tunnel, adding depth and playfulness to the arrival experience.

Inside the Visionary Vortex, linear LED strips and profiles produced a soft layer of diffuse light beneath the seats and benches, evoking the right level of subdued but atmospheric illumination for the panel discussions. Positioned at a higher level, projectors provided focused lighting above the seating area and drew the eye to the main centrepiece of the scheme – a cloud-shaped feature, beautifully enhanced through light fittings concealed within the layers of sheer fabric.

To differentiate the talks area from the rest of the scheme, the cloud installation was bathed in a slightly cooler colour temperature of 3,000K to cast an enveloping glow around the speakers. In contrast, a warmer temperature of 2,400K was used elsewhere to accentuate the vibrancy of the material palette.
