SENSASIA Stories is the crème de la crème of spa destinations. The flagship retreat created by interior design studio Roar is complemented by clever lighting techniques that add a sense of drama and ambiance to the spectacular space. 

Throughout the pan-Asian inspired interior the lighting scheme accentuates the geometric elements and rich material palette of grey-toned slate and stone, warm wood finishes and hessian wallpaper.

Concealed lines of illumination in combination with minimal, low-glare downlights strike the perfect balance between a dramatic, almost theatrical lighting effect and a healing, restorative environment (the space is void of any natural light). Large, illuminated arches in the central courtyard form an eye-catching feature, whereas smaller lighting elements in shelving and decorative fixtures create a layer of accent illumination that conjure up an atmospheric yet practical environment.

Be it the reception area or the tranquil treatment rooms, the lighting within each area of the spa can be individually managed via a lighting control system to create the ideal ambiance.
